Good conditions

Lots of rain and relatively cool this spring. PJ and I often hike in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve starting from the 40th street trailhead.

2010. The flowers were pretty much at prime; the light was working through very light cloud cover. Which was interesting to look at.

Surprisingly, my hiking pal wasn't interested in posing.

I hiked Squaw/Piestewa Peak yesterday and the brittle brush already are fading fast.
