Experienced the typical accelerated but very enjoyable year-end pace again in 2013. Choral Union Christmas concert participation was Poulenc's Gloria - which we ended up liking quite a bit; Virgil and Laurel attended. Most of the crew went to Las Vegas for a couple days shortly before Christmas - trip was planned around a Marquette basketball game up there - they ran into more excitement than planned. But at least we got to see SOC out of it. PJ started a neat new position at Mayo in mid-December. K here on extended vacation; EP here on vacation - extra nice to have everyone around. Christmas Eve dinner at Rokerij was quite delightful, as was Christmas dinner at the Reghabis. PJr and Nedda doing some remodeling so temporarily homeless.
Steady swirl of enjoyable events, and not finished yet.
It was a great year overall for us, with the notable downside being the loss of too many really important people. On to 2014.
